Andrew and Lakyn: Sells Mill Park Engagement

Andrew and Lakyn not only got up super early for their sunrise engagement session at Sells Mill Park—they also braved the threat of rain, wet slopes and the fog that settled in the ridge….but it made for some gorgeous backgrounds for their engagement photos!!

These two love Athens—it was where the met, where Andrew proposed and where they are planning their wedding for next year. I’m so thankful I get to work with this sweet couple—they are just so incredibly sweet, genuine and easy to be around. Congratulations on your engagement, Andrew and Lakyn! I hope you soak up this sweet chapter in your lives and I can’t wait to capture your special day!

Allen and Makayla: UGA North Campus Engagement

I loved getting to know Allen and Makayla at their UGA North Campus engagement session! These two drove up from their hometown near Augusta, Georgia where they recently purchased and renovated Makayla’s childhood home. They were just so incredibly sweet—we laughed and had a great time as we bounced around North Campus. I learned that Makayla is a pretty amazing baker and even makes up her own cookie recipes. She even brought me one!! Ya’ll—it was pretty amazing and I reluctantly shared half with my husband. ;-) I am so excited to get to capture their wedding day in Augusta at Pine Knoll Farms—Allen and Makayla, congratulations on your engagement and I hope you enjoy this sweet season in your lives!

Chandler and Margaret: UGA Chapel, Athens, Georgia

Saturday couldn’t have been a more beautiful day for Chandler and Margaret. These two UGA grads had fond memories of their time spent in Athens—particularly in the Redcoat Band—so saying “I do” at the UGA chapel was the perfect place to begin this new chapter in their lives!

We started the day at the Athens Classic Center and the Hyatt Hotel that adjoins it. Margaret was getting ready there with her closest friends. Margaret is following in her father’s footsteps and recently graduated from dental school. I loved getting to know Margaret—not only is she from my hometown of Winder, Georgia, but she’s a horse girl! Her grandmother hand painted her horse which she used for stationary. She was also a member of the Redcoat Band, so we had a lot in common! After we photographed her bridal details, her mother zipped her into her gown and she shared a first look with both her father and her bridesmaids. She then made her way to the ballroom staircase for a first look with Chandler.

Chandler is quite possibly one of the sweetest grooms I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. He was a music education major and is currently a band director. He was all smiles as he turned to see his beautiful bride, and after a sweet moment together, Margaret gave Chandler his gift and they read one another letters they had written.

Once the first look and a few portraits in the ballroom were complete, we headed to North Campus for the ceremony!

The historic chapel was decorated with greenery and a beautiful floral arch on the stage. We completed portraits and the bridal party was tucked away before the ceremony. As guests found their seats, a brass quintet that Chandler arranged began to play. The bridal party processed down the aisle followed by Margaret on the arm of her father.

Chandler and Margaret exchanged vows, rings and were pronounced husband and wife by the same pastor, a family member, who married Margaret’s parents.

After family portraits and photos at the iconic bell and arch on North Campus, we hopped on the shuttle to head back over to the classic center for their reception.

The bridal party was introduced and Chandler and Margaret shared their first dance as husband and wife, followed by the father-daughter and mother-son dances. After a blessing and dinner, the dance floor opened. The band was amazing and kept the crowd on their feet the entire evening. At one point, Chandler made a surprise appearance as a featured trumpet soloist in one of the songs and everyone loved it!

Chandler and Margaret had the most perfect day—and it was so fitting for such a sweet couple! It was such a pleasure to work with them, and I wish them every happiness and blessing as they begin their new lives together. Congratulations, Chandler and Margaret!!

Hunter and Annie: The Sixty-Two, Madison, Georgia

Hunter and Annie’s classically beautiful wedding day took place at The Sixty-Two in Madison, Georgia. The sun was out, and clouds billowed across the blue spring sky as we arrived to photograph Annie’s details. Annie and her girls were getting ready in the bridal cottage, and after photographing her bridal details, Annie’s mother and sister zipped her into her beautiful, beaded gown. Once she was dressed, Annie surprised her girls with a first look, and then shared a first look with her father. We photographed the girls, Annie’s bridal portraits, and then prepped for the first look with Hunter.

Hunter was doing great and was so excited to see Annie. When she called his name and he turned, Hunter became a little emotional as he watched his beautiful bride walking toward him. Annie was so full of joy—and we captured their first round of portraits before tucking Annie away so she could freshen up for the ceremony.

We worked with Hunter and his guys, and then went to photograph the reception hall which was beautifully decorated by JL Designs in Wedgwood blue and white florals and tablecloths. Tall arrangements lined the head table, and blue and white pitchers and containers housed airy bouquets that were just absolutely stunning.

When it came time for the ceremony, Annie’s father escorted her to Hunter. They exchanged vows, participated in a sand ceremony, and finally, were pronounced husband and wife.

When Hunter and Annie were introduced to their reception, their guests cheered and they went right into their first dance as husband and wife. Later, they cut their cake and then slipped out for a few STUNNING sunset portraits around the lake.

Hunter and Annie’s day couldn’t have been more perfect—these two are the SWEETEST couple and have been an absolutely joy to work with. I am so honored to have had the privilege of capturing this special time for them—congrautlations, Hunter and Annie—may God bless your marriage and may you find joy, excitement and lots of new adventures as you embark on this new journey together!

Justin and Jordan: White Fox Cottage, Commerce, Georgia

I LOVED Justin and Jordan as soon as I met them at their engagement session in Athens. Justin is hysterical, and he literally had me laughing the ENTIRE time. Jordan was as sweet as she could be, and she was all smiles while she was with Justin.

Their wedding day took place in Commerce at White Fox Cottage—a beautiful French country venue with an open air chapel for ceremonies. After several sunny and warm spring days, Saturday’s temperature dropped into the low 50’s and we had constant wind all day—but it was okay—because the wind made for some epic veil shots with Jordan’s gorgeous, beaded cathedral veil.

After photographing Jordan’s details and the girls in their robes, Jordan’s mom helped her slip into her gown. Jordan surprised her dad with a first look, and after her immediate family photos, we worked with the girls. Jordan chose soft rose pink and blues for her wedding colors, and her gorgeous bouquet was made up of ruffled peonies and completed her classical look.

I always tell my brides choosing their coordinator is so important—and luckily Jordan went with one of my favorites—Chasity Burroughs. When Jordan told us her gown was scratching her legs, Chasity quickly came to the rescue…so we had to grab some behind the scenes photos. ;-)

Justin opted to have some photos with his Z28, which Eli gladly pulled around to the front of the venue for us (thank you, Eli!) After some pictures, Jordan wanted to peek at them from the window—so we strategically placed Justin where he couldn’t see her since they were not sharing a first look and got the cute shot!

Finally, it was time for the cermeony—the guests began to arrive and made their way across the winding brook and up the path to the open air chapel where Georgia String Ensemble was already performing.

Justin turned so he wouldn’t see Jordan until Chasity had her fluffed and ready—and when he did turn, a big smile immediately lit up his face as he watched Jordan gliding toward him on the arm of her father.

They exchanged vows and rings, and Justin kissed his beautiful bride. We took family photos, and worked with the bridal party and then whisked Justin and Jordan away for some bride and groom portraits.

I just love the joy these two share when they are together—they are always smiling, laughing and truly enjoying one another. Once we finished their portraits, they slipped into the bridal suite for a quick private dinner while their guests played corn hole, grabbed champagne, or helped themselves to cocktails (complemented of course with koozies bearing Max’s face (Jordan’s beloved dog).

After the new Mr. and Mrs. Bentley were announced, they shared their first dance, and greeted their guests. After dinner, they cut their cakes and Jordan danced with her father, and Justin, his mother. After that, the band opened the dance floor and the guests were ready to celebrate!

Justin and Jordan’s day was an absolute fairy tale wedding…Jordan’s dream wedding, as her father, Andy put it during his speech. May your marriage be full of joy, laughter, and endless blessings…because you two certainly deserve it. Congratulations!

Maggie: UGA Senior, Athens, Georgia

Years ago when I was a teacher at Norcross, I used to carpool with Maggie’s dad, Chuck, who was one of the LSTCs for NHS. Chuck was crazy about his girls, Maggie and Anna, and talked about them pretty much daily—so even though I didn’t get to meet Maggie until later, I always felt like I knew her!

Maggie is excited to graduate next month from my alma mater, the University of Georgia. She’s been majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders and she plans to continue her studies in grad school at Georgia State this fall. Maggie is a member of the Sigma Alpha Iota sorority, and she has also served the Redcoat band by being on their Props team. Her senior year, she was Props Chief. I loved hearing her stories about her time there as we bounced around campus to hit all the iconic spots for her senior photos.

Despite a thirty minute wait at the Arch, we managed to finish her formal photos there before she changed into her casual outfit and we hit the bell and the stadium.

Maggie is such a sweet, beautiful girl and I absolutely LOVED getting to hang out with her and capture this special time for her! Maggie—congratulations on your graduation—you have SO much to offer the world! Keep dreaming big!

Ryan and Olivia: The Variety Works, Madison, Georgia

As soon as I met Ryan and Olivia, I knew they’d become a special couple to me! They are so genuine and sweet, and when Olivia smiles, her entire face lights up. Their beautiful winter wedding at the Variety Works was the culmination of NINE years of building a relationship for these high school sweethearts, and they couldn’t have been more excited to finally make it official!

The weather was mostly cloudy in Madison when we arrived to document their day. Olivia looked stunning in her off the shoulder lace gown, and JL Designs knocked her bouquet out of the park. The colors of the bouquets provided the jewel tone look Olivia wanted against the backdrop of the bridesmaids’ emerald green gowns. After a sweet first look with her father, and exchanging gifts, we photographed Olivia and her girls before prepping for her first look with Ryan.

Since we had some cloud cover, we knew Olivia loved the lake, and we settled on that for their first look location. Their immediate family looked on as Olivia called Ryan’s name. Ryan turned and saw his beautiful bride walking toward him, and then both got emotional—it was such a sweet and memorable moment!

We went into their first round of portraits by the bridge. Our team loves to work with Marc, Jason, and Josh with Redline Pros Videography, and they always keep you laughing…everyone teased Marc for his fanny pack AHEM…”Tactical Satchel”….but it definitely came in handy several times throughout the day! ;-)

After some portraits, we photographed the full bridal party and then worked with Ryan and his guys before tucking everyone away to prepare for the ceremony.

When the ceremony arrived, Olivia’s father escorted her to her handsome groom, and they exchanged vows and braided cords to symbolize the strength of their relationship. Finally, FINALLY….after NINE years…their pastor pronounced them husband and wife and Ryan kissed his bride!

We went directly into family photos followed by more portraits of Ryan and Olivia before delivering them back to the bridal suite to enjoy a private dinner. They were introduced first into the reception where the girls came in and danced, followed by the guys. Ryan and Olivia shared their first dance as husband and wife, and then their guests enjoyed a BBQ dinner. After dinner, Olivia danced with her father, and Ryan danced with his mother. They cut the cake and the dance floor was opened so their guests could party and celebrate them.

Finally, at the end of the night, as guests filed out to grab their sparklers, Ryan and Olivia shared a private last dance. They exited through a tunnel of sparklers and were ready to start the first chapter of their “Happily Ever After.” Congratulations, Ryan and Olivia—may God richly bless your marriage!!

Elisha and Allie: Empire Mills, Madison, Georgia

Elisha and Allie’s wedding day was absolutely gorgeous! After a week of cool weather and some rain, for February, the temperature was mild and we had abundant sunshine! Allie and her girls were getting ready in the bridal suite when we arrived and got to work photographing her details. Allie’s mom had several surprises for her including a necklace she had worn on her wedding day, which she presented to Allie as she helped her dress.

The guys were enjoying hanging out in the groom’s suite, and we had a great time with them during photos. They even asked for some funny photos with Elisha on the wooden swing.

Allie was absolutely stunning in her sparkling gown with the wrap skirt, and her florals provided vibrant color. She shared a first look with her father, and then we headed out for her bridal portraits and photos with her beautiful girls. After the portraits she was tucked away for the ceremony. Wreaths adorned the doors to Marsden Hall, and as always, the chandelier was the stunning centerpiece of the room.

The harp and violin provided music, and when the doors were opened and Allie floated down the aisle on her father’s arm, Elisha couldn’t help but become emotional. Allie’s father gave her away, and she and Elisha exchanged vows in front of their closest family and friends.

After sealing their promises with a kiss, Elisha dipped Allie for another on the way down the aisle. We photographed the bridal party, and then worked with Elisha and Allie. Allie was more than willing to tuck into the railroad track ruins, which are usually only accessible in the winter, and the result was some amazing sun flare for some of their portraits.

I just LOVE how easy Elisha and Allie are together….they are so comfortable together, and they truly love being together. It is so evident in their photos—these two were meant to be together!

The bridal party was introduced into the reception hall which was glittering with gold candles, red roses, and streams of greenery trailing down from the chandlers. It was absolutely stunning.

Elisha and Allie shared their first dance, followed by dinner with their guests. After dinner, Allie danced with her father and Elisha danced with his mother. They cut their cake and then the dance floor was open for the party!

It was truly a joyful day for both Elisha and Allie as well as the guests who were present to celebrate with them. They were sent off to their happily ever after with a sparkler exit. Elisha and Allie, it was such a privilege to work with you and capture this beautiful day! Congratulations and may you experience every happiness together that life has to offer!

Nick and Becca: A Sells Mill Park Engagement

Nick and Becca are two of the sweetest people I’ve had the pleasure of working with!! These two met at the University of Alabama (but don’t worry…even though I’m a Georgia girl we got along splendidly! ;-) ) Their friendship quickly turned to something more, and they got engaged at Orange Beach in Alabama.

It was a balmy 33 degrees when we met for their engagement session on Friday morning, but they were troopers. They were so genuine and happy together that capturing sweet, joyful moments of them was easy for me!

I absolutely can’t wait for their wedding day at The Warehouse in Monroe in October. I am truly so blessed to have the privilege of working with this special couple—congratulations, Nick and Becca!

Elisha and Allie: A McDaniel Farm Park Engagement

I absolutely loved getting to know Elisha and Allie at their engagement session Saturday at McDaniel Farm Park in Duluth, Georgia. Elisha serves in the National Guard and Allie is a teacher, and y’all—they are getting married THIS Saturday at Empire Mills!

Elisha and Allie met at Mercer University and Allie laughed when she told me it was actually in a “walking/jogging” class. She said Elisha always puts her on a pedestal and that was quite evident to me in the hour we spent together! These two are crazy about one another and truly love being together.

They have the sweetest personalities and capturing the joy between them was easy. I am so excited to capture their day this weekend!!

Montana and Sarah's Western 9 Oaks Wedding: Monroe, Georgia

Montana and Sarah’s day couldn’t have been more beautiful, or a better reflection of them. The weather was perfect, and guests were greeted at the front doors of the venue with Montana’s saddle, chaps and hat, among other items. The brand that they created was the thread that bound the entire day together—it was found on Sarah’s leather bouquet sleeve, her jacket cuffs, their champagne glasses, their cake, Montana’s wedding band, and they used it to brand a cowhide as well as a stove cover. Every detail was classic, western and represented their union perfectly.

Sarah and her girls were getting ready in the bridal suite when we arrived to photograph her bridal details. After Sarah was zipped into her gown, she gave her mother a special clutch purse—complete with a sweet note and a photo from when she was born. Sarah’s mother shed a few tears, and it really was such a special moment!

Sarah shared a first look with her father, and then we photographed her with her bridesmaids—all family—her sisters and her soon to be sister-in-law. Sarah was absolutely stunning in her lace gown, and was so full of joy as we photographed her!

Montana’s father gifted him a pocket watch belonging to his grandfather, and we captured the guys hanging out and all looking very handsome!

When it was time for the ceremony, and Sarah’s father began walking her across the bridge, Montana’s hand flew to his mouth and he stared wide-eyed at his bride. It was SUCH a sweet moment….the kind of moment girls dream of when they think about their groom’s reaction the first time they see one another.

Sarah’s father performed the ceremony, and Montana and Sarah branded a cowhide during the ceremony before sealing their vows with a kiss and heading back down the aisle as husband and wife.

Their portraits couldn’t have happened at a more perfect time—the light was soft and beautiful, and the joy these two experience when they are together is so real that it makes capturing it on camera easy. They are the kind of couple who genuinely love being together and who bring out the best in one another.

After they were introduced at the reception, they shared a first dance and then Sarah danced with her father. They cut the cake, and then went outside for a special moment. All of Montana’s family brought their brands, and after they were heated, Montana and Sarah branded their stove cover with each one. What a special and unique keepsake to remember their day!

They danced the night away, tossed the bouquet and garter and were sent off to their happily ever after with sparklers. It was truly a unique and joyous day celebrating these two! Congratulations Montana and Sarah!!

Nathan and Rachel: Primrose Cottage, Roswell

Sunday was the perfect fall day in Roswell for Nathan and Rachel’s long anticipated wedding. Nathan serves our country in the Navy, and four years ago, they had a quick wedding at the courthouse so they could be together, and planned to have a formal celebration at a later date. Between Nathan’s deployments and Covid, four years later, they finally got their wedding day.

Rachel and her girls started the day at a sweet bed and breakfast a few blocks from the venue in historic Roswell, Georgia. They then traveled over to the venue to dress and prep for photos.

Rachel was helped into her classic gown by her mother and her closest friends. After photos outside with Rachel and Nathan and their attendants, Nathan and Rachel shared a first look in the gardens behind Primrose Cottage. Rachel fell in love with Primrose Cottage—particularly the garden in the back, so we made sure to get some portraits there as well as in the front of the historic home.

Once we finished portraits and photos with the bridal party, we went inside where their Rabbi performed the signing of the Ketubah ceremony. As Rachel’s mother and brother escorted her to Nathan, who was waiting at the Chuppah, she teared up. I can’t imagine the joy she was feeling after four years of waiting and dreaming of this day! Nathan gave Rachel a ceremonial family heirloom ring, and his great-grandmother’s book of Holy Scriptures was used. Their parents wrapped them in a Tallit and after stepping on the glass, Nathan kissed his beautiful bride.

As they processed out, their guests tossed airplanes—a nod to Nathan’s service as a pilot in the US Navy.

Nathan and Rachel enjoyed cocktail hour with their guests, and after the wedding party was introduced they shared their first dance followed by an emotional mother-daughter dance and Nathan’s dance with his mother.

Their grandfathers blessed and cut the Challah bread together before dinner was served, and during dinner, Nathan and Rachel had their guests laughing when they played the shoe game. After the shoe game, they cut their cake (which featured a cutout including their dog, Boone), and their guests were treated to cookies and milk.

Nathan and Rachel waited four years for this day—and it couldn’t have been more beautiful for them! Congratulations and thank you both for your service! May God bless you always.

Anthony and Amanda

Anthony and Amanda had a beautiful wedding day at Little Gardens on Sunday! The weather couldn’t have been more perfect. Amanda and her girls had their hair and make-up done at her parent’s home and then traveled over to Little Gardens.

Her gown and veil were so elegant, and she looked stunning! To remember her grandfather, she had a photo tied around the stems of her bouquet. She shared a first look with her father, and both had tears in their eyes. We followed that with some family portraits. After some photos out front with her girls, they helped her back inside to prep for the ceremony.

Anthony saw his bride for the first time when her father escorted her down the aisle. They exchanged rings, and were pronounced husband and wife. After kissing his bride, Anthony and Amanda made their way back down the aisle as their guests blew bubbles.

We finished family portraits and bridal party photos, and then shot portraits of Anthony and Amanda, making sure to get the epic veil shot she wanted!

After portraits, Anthony and Amanda shared a private dinner upstairs before being introduced to their reception where they were celebrated by their closest family and friends.

It was truly a beautiful celebration of these two—congratulations!!

Montana and Sarah: Mansfield Engagement Session

It’s not often you get to work with a real life cowboy! I absolutely loved getting to hang out with Montana and Sarah for their engagement session at the Dabney Farm in Mansfield. Montana’s roping skills were pretty impressive….and Sarah’s scrambling under the rope while Montana kept it twirling was equally impressive!

They wanted an engagement session with horses since Montana grew up with horses and even performed in the rodeo. They had a custom halter made with their wedding date, and Echo was only too happy to model it.

These two are planning their January wedding out at 9 Oaks Farm, and I am so excited to get to capture their day! Congratulations on your engagement y’all!

Colby and Courtney: The Greystone Estate

Saturday was cool and rainy, but the weather didn’t bother Courtney one bit. She was thrilled to be marrying her high school sweetheart, Colby, and there was nothing that would steal her joy!

Courtney and her girls got ready at a local Air B and B before heading over to the beautiful Greystone Estate in Ball Ground, Georgia.

Courtney’s mother and sister helped her into her beautiful gown, and her fur stole was a special touch from her late grandmother. After a first look with her bridesmaids, Courtney surprised her dad with some custom cufflinks and we grabbed an umbrella for some portraits with the girls.

When it was time for the first look, Colby’s face lit up as soon as he turned to see his beautiful bride walking toward him, and I’m pretty sure that smile never left his face the rest of the day! Courtney was all about getting some good photos, and she totally trusted me to head into a grassy field despite the rain and wet ground for some gorgeous portraits with Colby.

Courtney’s grandparents served as her ring bearer and flower girl and it could not have been sweeter! As her grandfather escorted his wife down the aisle, she tossed carnation blooms with a mischievous smile at the guests.

Colby and Courtney’s wedding ceremony took place in the outdoor chapel. They exchanged vows, rings, and braided cords before being pronounced husband and wife. Colby dipped his bride for a kiss before escorting her out of the chapel.

After some fun portraits with the Rolls Royce, Colby and Courtney were introduced to their reception and celebrated with their closest family and friends.

It was truly a beautiful evening for a sweet couple—these high school sweethearts were now joined together after ten years of being together. Colby and Courtney, I wish you every happiness and blessing as you begin this wonderful journey of marriage together! Congratulations!

Ashley: An Equestrian Senior Session

I’ve known Ashley for a few years now…and to get to capture her senior session was SO much fun for me! Ashley is one of the instructions at Dabney Riding Academy in Mansfield. She has been the assistant coach for my daughter’s team and currently rides on the pro Diamond D Cowgirl Team and coaches the varsity quad and elite drill teams at the barn. She’s got the sweetest personality and both of my girls adore her. It means a lot to have someone like Ashley for my girls to look up to as a mentor.

This year has been a challenging one for Ashley. She unexpectedly lost her uncle right before her team competed. Her Uncle Matt instilled in her a love for horses, and she wanted to honor him in her senior photos. I don’t think it was a coincidence that not only was the sun shining while there was some rain drops as we took Aussie out to the pasture for some photos…but right after, we saw a rainbow. I’m pretty sure her uncle was looking down on her, and was as proud of her as ever.

It was truly a privilege for me to capture this special time in Ashley’s life. We are so proud of this sweet girl, we love her and we are thankful for how she loves and pours into our daughters.

Ryan and Olivia: Historic Madison Engagement

There’s just something magical about historic Statham—it’s the perfect background for the quintessential, classic southern couple, and it was a perfect location for Ryan and Olivia. These two grew up in Covington, Georgia and are high school sweethearts! I just LOVED getting to spend my morning with them exploring Madison and getting to know them. Olivia has the best smile, and she was so full of joy! Ryan couldn’t help but smile every time he looked at her. These two rocked their engagement session and made my job SO easy because they were SO comfortable with one another and so genuine! I am beyond excited to get to document this special time in their lives, and I can’t WAIT for their winter wedding back in Madison! Congratulations, Ryan and Olivia!!

Steve and Debbie: Windemere Clubhouse, Cumming, Georgia

I’ve know Debbie ever since I met my husband sixteen years ago—she and Heath taught math together at Norcross. I’ve been to her home for math department parties, and she graciously invited Heath to their family lake house when he wasn’t able to make it back to Alabama to see his family—she’s always been an amazingly kind and giving person. When she told me she was engaged I was SO thrilled for her—and it was evident when I met her fiancé, Steve, at a family party that they were crazy about one another.

Their beautiful, intimate wedding took place at the Windemere Golf and Country Club in Cumming, and it was a gorgeous October day. Debbie looked stunning in her lace dress. They shared their day with their closest friends and family—Debbie’s son walked her down the aisle, and her sweet granddaughter stood up with her to hold her bouquet. They exchanged vows in front of a cross facing the pond, and were pronounced husband and wife.

It was truly so special for me to get to capture these memories for them—Debbie, your sweet family means a lot to us, and we are SO happy for you and Steve! May God bless you both.

Joe and Molly: Montaluce

Joe and Molly are really special to me. Years ago, Joe used to sit in my British Literature class at Norcross High School. Not only was he one of my favorite students, but my husband was one of his football coaches. I never missed one of Joe’s games the year he was the quarterback and led Norcross High School to their first state championship game. It was really special to get to have him in my class and to watch him play for my husband. I first met Molly at the wedding of another one of my couples who is also friends with Joe, and I got to know her better at their engagement session. Molly is an amazing, thoughtful person who just completed her board exams to become a nurse practitioner. For me to have the privilege of capturing their wedding day is something that will always be so meaningful to me!

Their beautiful day took place in the gorgeous mountain town in Dahlonega at the famous Montaluce Winery. The weather was perfect…the clouds drifted across a cobalt blue sky and there was a soft breeze blowing all day. Molly’s elegant silk gown was handmade for her by Brittwood Designs, and her cathedral length veil with a blusher only added to the timeless, classic look.

Joe and Molly shared a first look under the sprawling oak tree overlooking the vineyard, and in the same spot a few hours later, they became husband and wife in a ceremony officiated by Joe’s uncle.

Later, they celebrated with their closest family and friends with dinner and dancing on the terrace overlooking the vineyard.

Their day was truly a memorable one, and I am SO thrilled for them! Congratulations, Joe and Molly—may God bless this new chapter in your lives!

Chandler and Margaret: Historic Madison Engagement Session

I was SO excited to get to meet and photograph Chandler and Margaret for their engagement session in historic Madison, Georgia. Margaret is from my hometown of Winder, Georgia. She and Chandler met in UGA’s Redcoat band where Margaret played the flute and Chandler played the trumpet. Chandler went on to be a band director, and Margaret followed in her dad’s footsteps and is finishing up dental school. We had SO much in common and had the best time chatting while we traipsed around downtown Madison. The weather was perfect, and Margaret and Chandler were so genuine and so easy to photograph…they made my job easy with their amazing smiles and fun-loving personalities!

I absolutely can’t wait for their summer wedding at UGA’s Chapel on North Campus! Congratulations, Chandler and Margaret! Enjoy this sweet time in your lives, and I am beyond blessed to get to work with you!
