Maggie: UGA Senior, Athens, Georgia

Years ago when I was a teacher at Norcross, I used to carpool with Maggie’s dad, Chuck, who was one of the LSTCs for NHS. Chuck was crazy about his girls, Maggie and Anna, and talked about them pretty much daily—so even though I didn’t get to meet Maggie until later, I always felt like I knew her!

Maggie is excited to graduate next month from my alma mater, the University of Georgia. She’s been majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders and she plans to continue her studies in grad school at Georgia State this fall. Maggie is a member of the Sigma Alpha Iota sorority, and she has also served the Redcoat band by being on their Props team. Her senior year, she was Props Chief. I loved hearing her stories about her time there as we bounced around campus to hit all the iconic spots for her senior photos.

Despite a thirty minute wait at the Arch, we managed to finish her formal photos there before she changed into her casual outfit and we hit the bell and the stadium.

Maggie is such a sweet, beautiful girl and I absolutely LOVED getting to hang out with her and capture this special time for her! Maggie—congratulations on your graduation—you have SO much to offer the world! Keep dreaming big!
