my favorite wedding vendors

Your wedding vendors should work together as a team to ensure you have an incredible wedding experience! The following vendors on my page are wedding professionals I’ve had the pleasure of working with and who I know do an incredible job! If you are still putting together your wedding vendor team, I hope this information is helpful to you!

Venues

If you are still venue shopping, here are a few helpful things to think about:

  • Ceremony location: What is the lighting like at your ceremony location? There is a fantastic app that I often use called Lumos. It’s free to download and no matter what time you are at your venue, you can hold your phone up to the sky and see the path of the sun each hour. Ideally, you want nice, even lighting at the location where you will exchange your vows!

  • Rain plan: No bride wishes for rain on her wedding day—but we can’t always control the weather. If you have a location that has an indoor option for your ceremony, that takes so much stress off your shoulders knowing you have a back-up plan! Also, for portraits—does your venue have a covered area? All I need is a porch to create beautiful portraits in the rain!

  • Sparklers: Other than looking beautiful, sparklers actually serve a purpose with photography—they cast light on your face which allows the camera to grab a focus in the dark! If your venue does not allow sparklers, talk with me about other exit options!

I have been a preferred vendor at the following locations for years! Each of these options provides an indoor option for the ceremony, a covered area for portraits, and allows sparklers! Check them out!

Coordinators

Is it really worth it to have a coordinator? YES!! Most coordinators offer packages and you can choose anywhere from a planning package to day-of coordination. Without a coordinator, all of the issues/decisions on wedding day come straight to you or your mom…and both of you do NOT want to deal with any stress that day. It also SO important that your coordinator and your photographer work well together—and because having a fantastic coordinator helps me take MORE photos of your special day, I offer a $50 discount for using any of my favorite coordinators below!

videographers

Your videographer and your photographer will work directly together for your day. I always reach out to the videographer to make sure we are on the same page, but some important things to ask/consider when you interview videographers are:

  • Does your videographer plan to direct you and get specific shots or will he/she just film behind the photographer? (If they plan to direct you for specific shots, adding a few extra minutes into your portrait timeline is important!)

  • How many cameras will your videographer bring and where will they be placed? (You do NOT want a camera set up and left in the center aisle of your ceremony…it gets in the way of the photography!)

  • How many people are on the team? With me, you will have two photographers and sometimes an assistant. With the videographer, typically you will have two and some bring an assistant. This helps you get a head count for your vendors and also helps you plan for how many people will be working with you to get your portraits and video.

The following videographers are awesome and we work extremely well together! Click on their links to check out their websites!
