Lorcan and Amanda: Piedmont Park Engagement

I first met Amanda when she was a bridesmaid in Alex’s wedding—Amanda was my go to bridesmaid…when I needed help or needed to relay a message to the bridal party, Amanda was on it! So, when Amanda said YES to Lorcan and reached out to me 18 months before her wedding date to book—I was so honored and SO excited to get to capture her special day!

Amanda is a journalist for the AJC and Lorcan is an engineer. They live in Atlanta, and Amanda loves Piedmont Park. That’s where they got engaged, and she often walks there—so she immediately selected that as the location for her engagement session.

The first date we had (bless Amanda’s heart…she had her make-up and hair appointments already scheduled….) fell right after Governor Kemp imposed the quarantine and the city of Atlanta was essentially shut down. We had to reschedule.

We thought for a little while we would have some rain…but when it turned to just spotty showers we both decided to risk it! I’m SO glad we did….because Amanda’s photos are beautiful!! We met Lorcan at their condo so their dog, Nugget, could be included in a few photos, and then we headed over to Piedmont Park! Amanda looked stunning in her tulle gown, and I just love the lace dress she changed into…it was so cute and classy!

I so enjoyed hanging out and laughing with these two as we walked around the park—and I’m SO excited about capturing their spring 2021 wedding!! Lorcan and Amanda, congratulations!!!
