Luke and Elizabeth: Mansfield Maternity Session

I have been so privileged to capture so many special moments for Luke and Elizabeth. Years ago, Elizabeth was in my 8th grade English class at Carver Middle School in Monroe, Georgia. We kept in touch over the years, and when my eldest daughter was 3, she was bitten by the horse bug and began taking riding lessons with Elizabeth. Five years later, and treks out to the Dabney farm have become a weekly part of our schedule! Elizabeth has built an amazing program with her lessons and drill team—she’s created a family atmosphere where girls can come together, work as a team, build one another up, and learn the awesome responsibility of caring for a horse. I’m so proud of what she has built. Elizabeth’s husband, Luke, is an amazing carpenter (he built my awesome bridal show wall!) and serves Walton County as a first responder/firefighter. I’ve been so blessed to be able to capture their engagement, their wedding, and now that they are expecting their fist child—their maternity session!

We shot part of the session on the Dabney farm, and then took a quick road trip up to an open field across from Luke and Elizabeth’s church for the rest! Luke and Elizabeth are excited to welcome their daughter in the coming weeks. Luke has been busy remodeling their house, and the nursery. This little girl will get to grow up right next-door to her grandparents—Ed and Colleen Dabney—and she will be SO loved! I know Luke and Elizabeth will make incredible parents—because they are incredible people. I am so excited for you both—congratulations!! I can’t wait to meet your sweet girl!
