Jacob and Star: The Thompson House and Gardens

Jacob and Star’s Halloween wedding out at the Thompson House and Gardens was so unique and beautiful! We had gorgeous weather, and despite Covid changing their wedding plans and limiting their number of guests, their day was the perfect celebration of their relationship with the ones they loved the most!

One thing I noticed when I first met with Jacob and Star, and then as affirmed at their engagement session, was that Jacob is crazy about Star. You can just tell by the way he looks at her, the way he cares for her, places a hand on her, smiles at her—his genuine love and affection for Star is obvious to anyone who is around them. Their wedding day was no different—Jacob’s smile when he reached for Star’s hand when they had their first touch lit up the room.

Star planned her wedding colors and flowers to tie in with the fun Halloween date! Purples, oranges and jewel tones made up her beautiful bouquet, and the all black tuxes and black wedding cake made their wedding especially unique and memorable!

Star had a sweet first look with her father before her bridal portraits, and then later her father escorted her down the aisle to Jacob. Star’s youth pastor performed the ceremony, and after he pronounced them “man and wife”, Jacob dipped star for their first kiss!

After their first dance, their guests enjoyed a taco bar and dancing. I’m so glad this sweet and deserving couple had a memorable wedding as special as they are! It was such a privilege for me to work with them. Jacob and Star—I wish you every blessing as you begin this new chapter in your lives! Congratulations!
