Drake and Aileen, a Norcross Engagement Session

I first met Aileen at Starbucks (which of all times happened to be closed due to a plumbing issue) so we sat outside at a table to chat. She was a French teacher at Norcross, where I spent ten years teaching English. She was so easy to talk to and hang out with—we laughed and shared teacher stories. Aileen lives to travel. She has an amazing sense of adventure and spontaneity, and she was actually preparing for a trip to Europe with some Norcross students the next day!

Aileen also has a blog (Teach, Travel, Tell) and it was on this blog that her now fiancé Drake proposed to her. It was such a unique story—Drake wrote Aileen a letter and posted it on her blog. They then got ready for dinner and Drake asked Aileen to read her blog. Drake had a photographer present to capture their proposal, and he did this while they were in the romantic city of Charleston.

I met Drake and Aileen in historic downtown Norcross for their engagement session. We had so much fun hanging out, and these two personify joy…they laughed with one another the entire time!

We were interrupted at least four times by the train (which on the fourth we time decided to capture in one of their photos if anything just for fun) and we made sure to get the British flag in the background from the Taste of Britain shop to symbolize Aileen’s love for travel.

I genuinely enjoyed being around these two, and I am so excited for their journey and to capture these special memories for them!

Drake and Aileen, congratulations on your engagement! I’m so excited for July!!
