Jesse and Sarah: Hurricane Shoals Park Engagement Session

Jesse and Sarah didn’t meet until high school—but they were connected back in 5th grade when they were both into archery. A local paper wrote a story and featured each of them—and little did they know that one day, years later, they would be engaged to be married!

We had a little yellow in the leaves but when we met for their shoot out at Hurricane Shoals Park it was a steaming 92 degrees out! (And it was the end of September!) Despite the heat, these two rocked their engagement session! We started on the side of the park that is a replica of a small town and found a beautiful spot with filtered light. By the time we finished the photos with their first outfits, they were looking forward to getting into the river and cooling off! While they changed, I grabbed some macro shots of Sarah’s ring—isn’t it gorgeous??

I also learned when chatting with Jesse that he worked with my next-door-neighbor! What a small world! We went to the river side of the park and had some fun wading in the water. Jesse was a gentleman and tested the bottom to make sure it wasn’t slippery before Sarah went in. These two are so sweet and genuine and I am so excited to capture these memories for them! I can’t wait for their upcoming spring wedding! Congratulations Jesse and Sarah!
