Max and Hannah: The Corry House, Union Point, Georgia

Max and Hannah are one of the most JOYFUL couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with!! Hannah has a smile that will light up a room—and endless energy. She’s just the cutest thing ever, and Max is every bit as sweet!

Their gorgeous spring wedding took place at the Corry House—a beautiful family farm that goes back ten generations nestled in the small town of Union Point, Georgia. It was the perfect setting for their special day!

Hannah loves everything pink and sparkly—and her wedding was the perfect reflection of that! When we went out for pajama photos, her sister asked if she was ready to get dressed—that was followed by a squeal and the two skipped joyfully back inside! Hannah looked absolutely stunning in her gown. She and Max exchanged private vows and gifts before the ceremony along with a first touch—and Max gifted Hannah with a journal he’d kept during their courtship….what an incredibly special gift!!

When it was time for their ceremony, Hannah’s sweet father escorted her down the winding path into the woods, and Max couldn’t help but become emotional when he saw her walking toward him.

Their ceremony was God-centered and sweet—and their families prayed over them. When it was almost time for them to be pronounced “husband and wife”, Hannah couldn’t contain her excitement and bounced up and down with a huge grin on her face—and everyone laughed. Finally, Max kissed his bride and they joyfully danced down the aisle.

After some bride and groom portraits (including some with a special car), they were introduced to their reception. Max spun his beaming bride around the dance floor and then Hannah and her father shared a special dance—it started slow, then they broke down into a fast dance, then they ended with Rocky top—where her sister joined in!

It was truly a joy filled celebration of this sweet couple and it was such a privilege for us to capture these memories for them! Congratulations, Max and Hannah!

Allen and Makayla: Pine Knoll Farm, Augusta, Georgia

Allen and Makayla have been one of the sweetest couples! When I photographed their engagement session in Athens, Makayla brought me one of her famous, homemade cookies to try! I just loved them as soon as I met them, so I was thrilled to get to see them again in Augusta for their wedding day!

Makayla was about the most laid back bride I’ve EVER worked with. She may tell you she had a “moment”, but when I was around her, she was just as calm and collected as ever and enjoying her day. She just has an easy way about her that makes you instantly relax around her—she’s real and genuine and will make you laugh in a heartbeat.

Allen was just as sweet and I LOVED their choice of suit colors—Allen and his guys looked amazing and their light colored suits were just PERFECT for a spring wedding! Makayla’s sweet ladies looked gorgeous in the soft green she chose—her colors and decor blended seamlessly with the beautiful surroundings!

Allen and Makayla shared as sweet first look, and Allen couldn’t help but tear up when he turned to watch her walk to him. Their ceremony was sweet and after finishing some bride groom pictures, Makayla was DONE with her shoes and opted to head barefoot to the reception. (I just LOVE this girl!!)

Sammy with Jackson and June did a flawless job (as always) pulling the day’s details together and it was truly a sweet, intimate, beautiful celebration of this amazing couple! Congratulations, Allen and Makayla!!

Dalton and Susanna: A Backyard Farm Wedding in Mansfield, Georgia

I’ve known Susann for years—she was my daughter’s drill team coach and instructor, and over the years has become a sweet friend. She had high standards for her future husband—she knew exactly what she wanted and she refused to settle—so when she became pretty serious about Dalton, I had a feeling he was “the one” she’d been waiting for.

I got a phone call from Susanna and as she led into the reason she was calling, I couldn’t help but guess….”Did he propose??” We’d all been waiting on it—they’ve been dating now a few years. She couldn’t have surprised me more when she said they decided to skip the engagement and just get married—in TWO weeks! TWO WEEKS?!? How do you pull off a wedding in two weeks?? This girl did—she bought an off the rack dress, borrowed a veil and hairpiece, and planned the wedding right in her backyard at her farm in Mansfield, Georgia. Susanna’s family all pitched in and prepared the food. Y’all—I shoot a lot of weddings. A lot of very expensive, planned for at least a year weddings—and Susanna’s sweet, intimate backyard farm wedding was EVERY bit as beautiful.

The food, all prepared by her family, was amazing. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun, and it was evident Dalton and Susanna were just ready to start their lives together! When Dalton turned to see Susanna walking down the aisle with her father, he teared up. The way they smiled at one another, and to see Susanna’s smile as she danced with her husband under the white tent surrounded by her family was just a beautiful thing. Susanna is a special girl—one who puts faith and family first—and it means SO much to me to see her so happy!

Dalton and Susanna are definitely starting their marriage off with a challenge—only two weeks after they said “I do”, Susanna traveled with her team—the Diamond D Cowgirls Professional Drill team—to perform at Equine Affaire in Ohio. During a performance, a freak accident had her thrown from her horse and whisked to the emergency room where she learned she had a fractured hip and pelvis.

Susanna’s first question was when could she ride again? She is facing a 2-3 month recovery and found herself not being able to work. Her sweet friend, Lauren, set up a go fund me page to help support Susanna during her recovery.

Our prayers are with this amazing lady as she recovers—I know her family would covet your prayers and if you feel inclined to give to help, the go fund me page is liked below. Dalton and Susanna—we love you and are SO proud of you. Even through you started your marriage off with an unforeseen accident, we know God is walking with you both through it and it will only strengthen your marriage! Congratulations do an amazing couple.

Daniel and Annie: The Sixty-Two, Madison

I so enjoyed getting to know Daniel and Annie over the past year! I loved that Annie is a teacher, and graduated from UGA like I did, and that Daniel went to Alabama just like my husband did—so we had a lot in common!

Their beautiful spring wedding took place at the Sixty-Two in Madison, Georgia. The day started out cloudy, overcast and wet but ended in the most gorgeous sunset!

Annie and her girls got ready in the bridal cottage, and after photographing the first set of portraits, and a sweet first look that Daniel and Annie shared, we traveled to the First United Methodist Church in Madison for the wedding ceremony. Annie’s father escorted her down the aisle, and they exchanged their vows in front of family and friends—then headed back to the Sixty-Two to celebrate!

Beautiful pastel florals and spring stems adorned the reception hall and the guests enjoyed dinner, dancing and the amazing band that kept everyone on the dance floor all evening!

At the end of the evening, their guests sent them off with sparklers and Daniel and Annie headed off to begin their lives together. Congratulations, Annie and Daniel—I wish you every blessing and happiness as you begin this new chapter in your lives!

Andrew and Lakyn: 255 Milledge Athens, GA

Andrew and Lakyn had SUCH a beautiful wedding at 255 Milledge in Athens. These two are just the sweetest—and their as their story centered around Athens, they felt that was the perfect location to start their married lives together! They met in Athens, and Andrew proposed at the botanical gardens—so it was only fitting they exchanged vows in a town that was so special to them.

Lakyn is an English teacher, which is what I used to do—so I just adored her from the start. Andrew compliments her sweet, quiet demeanor perfectly with his outgoing, friendly personality. He always has a huge smile on his face and a big hug to give.

Their day was beautiful—the trees in front of the historic home were blossoming and the florals decorating the home were so elegant. Lakyn looked stunning in her gown, and they exchanged vows in front of their closest family and friends.

Andrew’s mother spent so much time baking and decorating all off their cakes, which was so special, and they shared a private cake cutting with their families before they hit the dance floor to enjoy their reception with their family and friends.

I am so thrilled for this special couple, and it was truly a privilege for me to capture this memorable time for them! Andrew and Lakyn, I wish you every blessing as you begin your lives together! Congratulations!

Corey and Cassi: A Monroe Engagement: Avonlea Hill and Heart Spring Hill Farm

I had the pleasure of photographing Corey’s twin brother’s wedding a few years ago—so to get to capture his as well is just amazing! We LOVED having Corey and Cassi out to our little farm at Avonlea Hill for the engagement session—Cassi’s grandfather had a peach orchard at one time, so it was special to her to get to do the first part of her engagement session in our peach orchard. We finished up the first part of their session with some photos on the southern front porch complete with lemonade and cookies!

We shot the second half of their session across the street at Heart Spring Hill—a beautiful farm owned by our sweet neighbors. The sunset by the lake was just gorgeous, and Corey told me he actually used to swim in that lake when he was in high school. It was such a fun time with these two, and I’m SO blessed to be able to work with them and capture this special time in their lives. Congratulations on your engagement!!

Alyssa: An Equestrian Senior Session

Alyssa is enjoying her senior year and excited to graduate! We have known her sweet family for years—she and her sisters ride at the Dabney barn with our girls, and I was excited to get to capture some beautiful photos for her! Alyssa has a heart for Jesus and adores this guy—Accolade. She is a member of the Varsity Elite Diamond D Cowgirl team. I know she’s going to do amazing things with her life—Alyssa, congratulations on your senior year!! We love you!

Jordyn: An Equestrian Senior Session

Jordyn is one special girl—not only have we known her for years but she’s been my youngest daughter’s drill team coach for the past three years! She is absolutely amazing—full of life, always smiling and has a heart for Jesus. She adores her horses, Red and Woodrow, and she rides on the pro team for the Diamond D Cowgirl Mounted Drill Team. She is finishing up her senior year at Social Circle and then plans to attend ABAC. We will miss her TERRIBLY!! Jordyn, we ADORE you and I loved getting to capture this special time for you!!

Katie: A Senior Session at Gerrard Landing

This beautiful girl is a senior at Norcross High School! I absolutely loved getting to meet and hang out with Katie for her senior session—it reminded me of my seniors that I spent ten years teaching and made me miss them!! Katie is an absolute sweetheart, and is enjoying her final year in high school before heading off to the University of Georgia to major in early childhood education! Katie runs cross country and she has a really special relationship with her dog, Ruby. Katie’s family adopted Ruby a few years ago, but she and Katie have a super special bond—Katie has taught her several tricks including how to “high five!” Katie, you are such a sweet soul—I hope you have a magical senior year!! Congratulations!!

Kip and Blakelee: Little Mulberry Park Engagement

Kip and Blakelee are the sweetest couple! Their story began when they met at Emmanuel College, and they are excited to plan their wedding for next summer at the Engine Room in Monroe. We met at Little Mulberry Park in Dacula for their engagement session. Blakelee brought her jeep and we used it for some sunset shots before heading up to the meadow. I loved getting to know them and had such a great time capturing these memories for them! We even came across a sweet fawn as we were heading back down to the parking lot! I can’t wait to capture their wedding day—congratulations Kip and Blakelee!! Enjoy this sweet time in your lives!

Jessie and Rachel: Grant Hill Farms

I’ve been very blessed to have some amazing couples to work with…but there was just something really special about Jessie and Rachel. I adored them from the moment I met them, and my team and I all agreed they were one of the sweetest couples we’ve had the pleasure to work with!

Jessie and Rachel met in the UGA Redcoat Band, and their journey led them to the alter at Grant Hill Farms. Their wedding day was surprisingly cool with low humidity—a rare thing to see in Georgia in the month of August. From the magnolia leaves in her bouquet to the pies the guests enjoyed as favors to her pearl necklace, Rachel made sure her wedding was full of classic southern style that reflected who she was.

Rachel and her girls were busy getting ready when we arrived, and we set to work photographing her lovely bridal details. After photographing a first look with her bridesmaids and her dad, we worked with the girls and photographed Rachel’s bridal portraits. The breezy summer day couldn’t have been more perfect—the cows wandered slowly in the background and the butterflies were fluttering about the grounds—it was truly a picturesque setting for their special day!

Jessie and Rachel shared a first look, and Rachel struck a pose once Jessie turned to see her (which ended up being one of our favorite first look photos to date!)

After their first round of portraits, they took a break to prep for the ceremony.

Jessie’s Aunt Cindy performed the ceremony, and after braiding a cord to symbolize their coming together, they sealed their vows with a kiss and were pronounced husband and wife.

After a second round of portraits, Jessie and Rachel were excited to party with their guests—and they donned sunglasses as they were introduced to the reception and shared their first dance.

Rachel danced with her father, and what started as a sweet, sentimental moment turned into a fun, fast dance that had everyone laughing once Rachel and her father slipped sunglasses on and broke down in their best dance moves! They cut their cake, laughed during the toasts and slipped out for some beautiful sunset photos in the field. Rachel even made sure my team was able to take a break and get something to eat! She was the most thoughtful, sweet bride. Their guests enjoyed dancing—especially Jessie’s grandmother! At the end of the evening, Jessie and Rachel were sent off with sparklers and excited to embark on their journey together as husband and wife.

Jessie and Rachel, it was not only a pleasure, but an honor to capture your gorgeous day! I am so thankful God crossed our paths. I wish you every blessing as you begin this journey of marriage! Congratulations!

Tommie and Caitlin: Little Mulberry Park Maternity Session

I first got to know Caitlin through some weddings we worked together—and then when my girls became obsessed with her shop and cupcakes, we started making frequent stops as we drove through Monroe to get to their barn. If you don’t know her, Caitlin is the owner of The Posh Cakery in Monroe, Georgia—and her strawberry cupcakes are my favorite. ;-)

Caitlin and I both live in Winder, and over the years, she’s become a sweet friend! So when she and her husband, Tommie, were expecting, I was BEYOND excited to photograph this special time for them!

Tommie and Caitlin originally met in high school (Dacula High), and after going down separate paths for a time, they reconnected and the rest is history! They were married last year, and this year are expecting a sweet baby girl.

I am so thrilled for them—they are going to be amazing parents. I can’t wait to meet this sweet girl—she is loved by so many already! Congratulations, Tommie and Caitlin!!
