Dan and Michelle have been an absolute joy to get to know and work with. Not only did these two recently graduate with their Doctorate degrees from the University of Georgia (Congratulations Dr. and Dr. Buhr!!) They also tied the knot in their favorite city—Athens. Their day took place at the Georgian where we photographed Michelle’s details and she and Dan shared a sweet first look! Then we all piled in a shuttle to head over to North Campus for their portraits.

We hung out on North Campus which is gorgeous ANY time of year—and made sure to get some photos at the iconic chapel bell and arch before shuttling back over to the Georgian to prep for the ceremony.

Their ceremony was elegant and sweet and they exchanged vows in front of their closest family and friends—many of whom traveled all the way from Alaska and Michigan for the occasion! At the reception, they were introduced to cheers before sharing their first dance as husband and wife. Then Michelle’s brother twirled her around the dance floor and Dan danced with his mother.

They cut their cake, and soon after had a VERY special and surprise visit from the UGA mascot, Hairy Dawg!! The guests cheered as he made his entrance and y’all—that was one of the most exciting and fun receptions we’ve had the chance to photograph!
