I have had the pleasure of knowing the Childs family ever since I photographed Corey’s twin brother’s wedding a few years ago. When Cassi reached out to let me know she was engaged to Corey, I was absolutely thrilled to have the chance to work with this sweet family again! Cassi and Corey are just an incredibly sweet, incredibly genuine couple! Their relationship is firmly ground in their faith and that was clearly reflected in their wedding through the several times they prayed throughout their day, their ceremony and their private vows.
Cassi wasn’t afraid of color—she embraced it and her color palette was vibrant, cheery and absolutely gorgeous!! The colors made her summer wedding.
Corey and Cassi shared a sweet first look followed by private vows that they read to one another. After capturing some portraits of them, we brought out the bridal party. Despite the August heat, the bridal party was amazing and we worked quickly to get their photos captured so they could sneak back into the air conditioning and cool off!
I think everyone was relieved when at ceremony time, clouds covered the sky and gave us a welcome respite from the heat. Cassi’s father walked her down the aisle and she and Corey exchanged vows, rings and served one another communion. After their families came forward to pray over them, they were pronounced husband and wife and Corey eagerly kissed his stunning bride.
After a quick break to cool off, we stepped back outside where the wind was picking up to finish their bride and groom portraits before Corey and Cassi were introduced into their wedding reception and enjoyed celebrating the rest of the evening with their closest friends and family.
At the end of the evening, they shared a final private dance before being sent off with sparklers to begin their new lives together. Corey and Cassi—it was an a absolute privilege for me to capture this special time for y’all! May God bless you abundantly as you embark on this new journey! Congratulations!
