Dylan and Emily: Covington, Georgia Engagement

It was a frigid 34 degrees in the morning when I met Dylan and Emily in Covington Thursday morning….but y’all—these two ROCKED their southern style engagement session! I’m a little partial to morning sessions…I love the soft, bright light—and we had plenty of that out at this beautiful historic home built in 1910 and owned by a friend of Emily’s family.

Dylan and Emily met in high school—and even after Emily’s family moved away to North Carolina and returned a few years later, they reconnected and became engaged. It was evident they were crazy about one another—they are both so kind and genuine and it was so easy to be around them.

Sweet Emily gave me a big hug and surprised me with a beautiful gift—a cross made from oyster shells trimmed with gold paint on a canvas. I was SO touched by her thoughtfulness—she is truly so beautiful not only on the outside—but the inside!

We made sure to keep her wrapped in a blanket as we moved from location to location on the estate. Dylan was such a gentleman and held her extra tight to keep her warm. We had a lot of fun despite the cold, and I so enjoyed my morning getting to know them and talking about their wedding plans.

Dylan and Emily, congratulations on your engagement—I hope y’all enjoy these special next few months together as you look forward to your summer wedding later this year!! I absolutely can’t wait to capture your day!
