In Georgia, you often see memes on social media about the constantly changing weather….and wow did we experience that at Dalton and Hannah’s wedding on Saturday!!
It started out sunny, but by the end of the evening we had dealt with drizzle, rain, sun again, a torrential downpour and thunder and lighting—all which caused Hannah and her coordinator Wendy to make the call to move her ceremony indoors.
Despite the roller-coaster weather, they had a truly beautiful day! Hannah was a STUNNING southern bride, and the colors she picked were just elegant! She and Dalton shared a first look, and I’m pretty sure Dalton couldn’t wipe the smile off his face for the rest of the day! The joy they experienced when they were together was evident, and they were so amazing in working with the weather. One of my favorite family photos was of Dalton and his grandparents—I asked him to look at his favorite grandmother and he stoically never moved his head, causing everyone to laugh!
Although their ceremony was moved indoors, it was simply beautiful with the string lights and crystal chandeliers overhead. Dalton shed a few tears of joy when he saw his beautiful bride cross the bridal suite and descend the stairs to her father, who escorted her down the aisle.
To signify their coming together, Dalton and Hannah poured crystals into a vase which they will later have melted down and made into a piece to display in their home—a unique and symbolic way to remember the day they became one.
The reception details were beautiful, and the cakes were so unique! Dalton LOVES golf, and so his groom cake (made by the amazing Caitlin with The Posh Cakery) and his cupcakes were so creative!
Hannah and Dalton shared their first dance, then Hannah danced with her father followed by Dalton dancing with his mother—and then Hannah finished the dances with a special dance with her 94-year-old grandfather…what a special and sweet moment!
Their night was wrapped up with a sparkler send off and their smiles said it all! They were SO happy and I am so thrilled for them! Dalton and Hannah, it was an honor for me to capture these special memories for you! I wish you every blessing as you begin this amazing new journey together!
