Paige: University of Georgia Senior

It’s always so special for me when I get to photograph a former student…particularly this gorgeous girl!! Paige was in my senior class my last year of teaching at Norcross High School. That year, we were in a trailer out behind the school. Paige may not realize this, but she made a huge impression on me when she turned in her first essay. Not only was her writing incredibly advanced, but in her essay she told a very personal story of a struggle she went through during a very difficult time in her life. I’ll never forget reading that essay and feeling so proud of her for persevering over that situation…and I’m still so proud of her for how far she’s come. I can still see her coming to class snuggled in her cream-colored sherpa pullover that she wore even into May when the temperature was well into the 80’s. At the time Paige was in my class, my youngest daughter was dealing with a rare periodic fever syndrome, and Paige would ask about her almost every day…which meant so much to me.

Paige finished high school early and went on to study at UGA. She’s getting ready to graduate with a degree in criminal justice and has applied to law school…she hopes to be a public defense attorney so that she can help people. She has a HUGE heart for dogs…and even brought her four-legged bestie, a rescue dog named Aria, along for the photoshoot!

This gorgeous young lady is so talented, special and has a huge heart…she’s going to do amazing things with her life. Paige, there are no words for me to express how proud I am of you for all you’ve overcome, and all you’ve accomplished. I’m so thankful God put you in my classroom your senior year, because you have been a blessing in my life…and you are going to be one fabulous attorney!!
