At the beginning of the week, we were looking at a 75% chance of rain for Chuck and Lauren’s wedding day…but by the time Saturday rolled around, we couldn’t have asked for a better day. The skies were blue, and the temperature was steady in the70’s—it was absolutely gorgeous out at 9 Oaks Farm!
Lauren was getting ready when we arrived, so we grabbed her bridal details to start on (and y’all—this sweet bride even brought gifts for her vendors—how amazing is that??) Lauren’s details were gorgeous and had a story behind them. Her wedding band was encircled with diamonds that had belonged to her grandmother. Her purse was jewel encrusted and had blue stones and her shoes—oh my goodness they were gorgeous and complemented her rose gold jewelry perfectly! Jess Boulter, her wedding coordinator, came and Lauren was thrilled to see the custom welcome sign Jess created to go with their Friends theme!
Lauren’s gown was a champagne color with a embroidered lace overlay and her veil was hand made by her step-mother. I loved how her day wasn’t only beautiful but there was so much sentimentality and love that went into the planning, the details and her veil.
Chuck and Lauren shared a sweet first look, and since they had as sunset ceremony we made sure to get all of their portraits in immediately after their first look. We had fun hanging with the bridal party, and Chuck’s guys requested a picture with the hatchets they received as groom’s gifts.
When it came time for the ceremony, the sun was just setting behind the red bridge and the lanterns in the bridge were glowing, and the candles were lit that lined the aisle. Lauren was beaming as she came down the aisle escorted by her mother and father.
After exchanging vows, Chuck stepped on the glass and after sharing a kiss, they threw their arms up in celebration and were full of laughter and joy as they processed down the aisle.
At the reception, the tables were lit and the dessert table was overflowing with iced Krispy Kreme donuts. Themes from Chuck and Lauren’s favorite show, Friends, were prevalent throughout their day from their welcome sign, to their cake, to their masks—their wedding was full of fun and joy which reflected Chuck and Lauren so perfectly.
Chuck and Lauren signed the Ketubah before being introduced at their reception and sharing their first dance.
I am so honored to have had the pleasure of working with this sweet, joyful couple. Chuck and Lauren—congratulations on your wedding—I wish you every joy and blessing as you begin this awesome journey together!
