Emma: Class of 2020, Norcross High School

Sweet Emma is enjoying her senior year at Norcross High School! She fell in love with Barrington Hall in Roswell and we had so much fun shooting her senior photos there! The location was a perfect match to her sweet, classic, southern personality! We paired this location with the river by Roswell Mill, and we had a great time laughing and catching up! Emma’s mother, Michelle, was my long-term sub (twice!) when I was expecting my daughters! I shot her sister Nyala’s senior photos a few years ago. We laughed at how different the weather was…Nyala’s photo session took place with temperatures hovering at freezing and the sky was overcast (we still got some gorgeous photos) but it was quite the opposite for Emma’s session with warm temperatures and sunny skies!

This beauty is involved in an organization called “Love to serve, Serve to love” which projects around the school and in her community. She’s been involved in this group for the past four years, and on the leadership side of it for the past three. She also is involved in a program called Experiential Leadership Institute—a Christian leadership program that develops teenagers who then in turn volunteer to live and work at different churches in the summer to run a day camp for kids. She has been active with the Best Buddies club at Norcross the past four years and has joined the leadership team for the National Arts Honor Society. Emma loves art, and is currently taking IB Art and Ceramics at Norcross. You can also find her in the stands with Blue Crew (the student spirit group at Norcross that attends sporting events). Emma also plays tennis, loves to write and journal, and she plans to become an occupational therapist and work in a children’s hospital.

Emma has the sweetest personality—just being around her will make anyone smile! She is fun, up for anything (even wading right into the river and getting her gorgeous lace gown wet!) and is so incredibly talented! I’m so thankful that they entrusted me with capturing these memories for both Emma (and her sweet sister!) I can’t wait to find out where she goes to school next year…Emma you are an absolutely JOY and I hope you have an amazing senior year at Norcross!!
